IMPORTANT RACE INFORMATION
September 6, 2008 Hana Relay

There will be SIX separate starting times or (waves).  The first wave will start at 5:30 AM sharp.  The next five waves will start in 15  minute increments; 5:45 AM, 6:00 AM, 6:15 AM, 6:30 AM, and 6:45 AM sharp! Please make sure everyone on your team knows when your start time is and plan on arriving early so you can ready your vehicle and team.  Starting teams in this fashion will help eliminate congestion on the road and at hand off points.

The slower teams will start in the earlier waves with the faster teams in the later waves. Keep in mind this race is meant to be enjoyed as an event as much as a competition.  Starting teams in this fashion will allow everyone time to enjoy the post-race festivities to the fullest extent possible.

Ø Don't be late! No adjustments will be made if you miss your starting time!
Ø Please bring tape for your vehicle place cars or prepare your vehicle at home prior to the race.
Ø Place your race bibs on the front of your shirts to help the volunteers at the finish line
Ø Drive with your vehicle lights on for extra visibility and safety.

 

POST RACE FESTIVITIES

From noon to 3:00pm there will be Live Music
Your standard cut fruit and drinks will be at the finish also.
Prizes!! Random prizes will be given away and medals will be given to the top teams.
Most Spirited Award will be given to the team that demonstrates good sportsmanship both on and off the course.  This year Extra points will be given for creative van decoration and/or zany costumes. No drug enhancements, please.  So dress those rented vans up.
